PrayerWorks

Alberta Avenue - 11725-93 St. NW, Edmonton

-

We are a volunteer-driven meal program dedicated to providing nourishing, home-cooked meals and fostering a warm and safe environment at our communal tables. We strive to offer a welcoming experience, ensuring that every individual who joins us for our community meals feels nourished in body and spirit.

We serve around 400 individual meals per week. Due to the increasing cost of living and the ongoing opioid crisis, our numbers have increased over 50% since this time last year.

The PrayerWorks meals happen within the space of the Alberta Avenue Belonging Centre, offering respite and neighbourliness for everyone. The hours of the Belonging Centre as well as meal times at Alberta Ave. are listed below.

We shine most brightly in community, the whole bedraggled, worn, frayed and tattered lot of us, bound together forever by a shared courage, a family forged in the heat of earnest struggle.
